Great product
Nice quality product from Canon. It allows me to use the higher qualtiy lens cover by Canon that I also purchased as opposed to the flimsy one that came with my S5IS.

Great product. You do need to buy this if you want to attach other lenses to your camera.
Lens safety
I am Deployed to Kosovo I feel that if anything the lens adapter is well worth the cost for the simple fact I dont have to baby the camera in a hostile fire zone. I can throw the camera down in an instant if the mission dictates without having to worry about damaging the lens assembly. I like that the camera if the second adapter is on the camera doesnt lengthen the camera to speak of. I have to keep the camera in everything from a back pack that is thrown into a truck and setting on the radio system in the truck. I feel the lens adapter will save me alot of money in repairs on the lens assembly in the future.
